Here’s Everything Mahershala Ali Is Working on While We Wait for 'Blade'
Mahershala Ali’s Blade has been stuck in development hell for an awfully long time, but some recent updates should keep fans optimistic. The previous trilogy’s writer, David Goyer, revealed to Variety that his agent called Marvel, asking if they’d need any help, and they told him not to worry because “they’ve cracked it now.” This could mean that Kevin Feige and his team now know which phase to place the character and what story to give him. Ali, too, hasn’t given up on playing the character, despite not being contacted for a long time. During the New York premiere of Jurassic World, he told reporters to “let them know I’m ready.”
