'Jurassic World Rebirth' Shows the Franchise Thrives Even With Bad Reviews

Out of all the mega Hollywood franchises, the Jurassic Park IP appears to be immune to overt criticism. Outside of 1993's Jurassic Park, which remains a seminal classic, the sequels have received mostly mixed to negative reviews. Yet, they remain incredibly successful at the box office. When anyone asks, "Why are they making more of these?" feel free to point them to any site that tracks box office numbers. This is not only a lucrative franchise but also a very consistent one in terms of drawing people to their local movie theaters. Even the Marvel Cinematic Universe is affected by lackluster reviews in a way this franchise simply isn't. So why is that? Why do the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films defy the odds and continue to be virtually review-proof?
