Samuel L. Jackson's Forgotten DC Superhero Movie Deserves a Second Look
The name Samuel L. Jackson is now synonymous with Marvel. The actor has portrayed Nick Fury in 14 MCU films and TV shows, and will probably appear in more down the line. Before the movies, Jackson had already been incorporated into the lore. In the early 2000s, the comic book version of the character was redesigned to look like him. The rest fell into place, and he's loved every minute of it. Jackson later told the Los Angeles Times that he’s never lost interest in Nick Fury and admitted he’d rather keep making billion-dollar-grossing Marvel movies than win awards or chase down Oscar-baiting roles.
