As speculation over who will play James Bond in Amazon MGM Studios' next iteration of the spy franchise continues to mount, Dame Helen Mirren has weighed in on the casting debate. The Oscar-winning actress, who will next be seen in the Netflix film The Thursday Murder Clubalongside former 007 actorPierce Brosnan, who was also her co-star in the Paramount+ crime drama MobLand, has asserted that "it doesn't work" for a woman to play Ian Fleming's iconic character on screen, even though she admits to being "such a feminist."
