'Lilo & Stitch' Review: An Adorable Maia Kealoha Saves Disney's Latest Live-Action Remake

Disney's live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch nails the cuteness factor, but falls short in every other category. The supporting cast, screenplay — and, most perplexingly, the visual effects — are simply not at the level they need to be for a blockbuster release. Take the character of Stitch: He's still a mischievous little devil wreaking havoc, but he doesn't look realistic when interacting with the ensemble. Thankfully, young Maia Kealoha saves the day in her big-screen debut. As Lilo, she's adorable and spunky with a tremendous presence. You root for Lilo from the start, and can't help but be overcome with emotion at her happy ending.
