'Superman II' Is Great, but Terence Stamp's Best Movie Is a Queer Classic

The British thespian lent his classical chops and his undeniable gravitas to any number of roles in his six-decade career, feeling equally at home in prestige fare and cheesy B-movies. Many of his most memorable roles found him twisting his magnetism in more sinister directions, and there were few actors who could make a villain as compelling as Stamp.
