SZA defends Megan Thee Stallion against Tory Lanez supporters

SZA has spoken out against Tory Lanez supporters harrassing Megan Thee Stallion.

The R&B singer took to social media to defend Megan against Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) fans. A recent petition to release Peterson has been circulating following the rapper being stabbed in jail.

Peterson is currently serving 10 years in prison after being convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

Taking to the comments of an Instagram video reminding viewers that Lanez was “convicted and jailed by the State of California,” SZA wrote: “The density !!!!! I’m actually SO shocked at the amount of ppl fully comfortable bullying a woman that’s proven to be a victim of assault.”

“Like out loud where other ppl can see you ??,” she continued. “Lmao u finna be stupid OUTLOUD ?”

Peterson was attacked in prison on May 12 by a fellow inmate at the California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi; he was reportedly stabbed 14 times, with both of his lungs apparently collapsing and requiring the rapper to use a breathing apparatus.

Since the news of his stabbing, a petition claiming that there was “no physical evidence Tory Lanez fired a gun” has been circulating. It further alleges that while “gunshot residue was found on both Kelsey Harris and Tory Lanez”, only Peterson’s DNA was supportedly tested against it.

Megan has spoken out against the claims, where she wrote on TikTok: “At what point are yall gonna stop making me have to re live being shot BY TORY !? At what point are Tory and yall FANS gonna stop lying?”

She reaffirmed that “FACTS ARE FACTS”, stating that “it was PROVEN IN COURT” that Peterson shot her. Megan ended her post pleading with the Canadian rapper to leave her alone, calling him a “fucking demon.”

It follows her “final” response to the incident in 2023, where she reflected on the “humiliation” she faced from the public when coming forward with the claims and saying people treated her trauma “like a running joke”.

Meanwhile, Doechii has said SZA’s ‘Ctrl’ gave her “courage” to break up with ex-boyfriend.
