'28 Years Later' Is the Best 'Last of Us' Adaptation of 2025
Following the underwhelming Season 2 finale of HBO's hit horror TV series The Last of Us, Danny Boyle's viral zombie sequel, 28 Years Later, has emerged as the best example of what the popular video game adaptation could have been in 2025. With a similar but more sophisticated and involving story of companionship, survival, and supervision, 28 Years Later met all the proper storytelling markers that eluded The Last of Us 2, proving that the small-screen format isn't always the most ideal for delivering taut, hair-raising horror.
