'47 Ronin' Director Indicted for Stealing $11 Million From Netflix
Shared passwords ain't all Netflix has to worry about. Contracted director Carl Erik Rinsch was recently indicted on fraud charges in NYC for failing to complete a TV series financed by the streaming company. Evidently, this unfinished production was a sci-fi show centering around a cyborg uprising. Though we still aren't fully aware of what happened or who is to blame, it appears that Netflix stumbled into quicksand as they rushed to build their own catalog of movies and shows. If the indictment is to be believed, the man they entrusted with $55 million to make their next epic was more interested in sprucing up his home decor and crypto portfolio.
