‘Alice In Borderland’: Netflix announces season three premiere date, shares gripping first teaser

Netflix has finally lifted the veil on the highly anticipated third season of Alice In Borderland – find out its premiere date and watch its first teaser below.
Yesterday (June 8) Netflix revealed the first teaser trailer for the long-awaited third season of Alice In Borderland, which comes three years after 2022’s acclaimed season two. Season three is set to premiere on September 25 worldwide.
The teaser – which you can watch below – depicts Arisu and Usagi’s lives falling apart since returning to the real world following season two, only to be haunted by nightmares and devastating visions of Borderland. Usagi is abducted and brought back to the Borderland, while Arisu’s handed a mysterious Joker card as chaos ensues.
The official synopsis for season three reads: “After Usagi is abducted and left unconscious by a mysterious scholar obsessed with the afterlife, Arisu returns to the perilous Borderland to save her. Teaming up with new players, they must face the yet-unseen Joker stage in a desperate bid to find a way back to their original world.”
Just four days after season two was released in 2022, Alice In Borderland became the most-watched Japanese title of all time in the platform’s history, overtaking anime and charting the Top 10 in over 10 countries.
Alice In Borderland revolves around a group of people who are transported to a parallel universe in which they have to play and win games to remain alive.
Alice In Borderland stars Kento Yamazaki as Ryōhei Arisu and Tao Tsuchiya as Yuzuha Usagi, who must work together to escape a dystopian, abandoned version of Tokyo and return to the world they know.
Season three will see the return of its main cast in Hayato Isomura, Ayaka Miyoshi and Katsuya Maiguma, while new faces include Koji Ohkura, Risa Sudou, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, Tina Tamashiro, Kotaro Daigo, Hyunri, Sakura Kiryu, and Kento Kaku.
