Arctic Monkeys launch recording company and update website – is a new album incoming?

Arctic Monkeys have launched a new recording company and updated their website, leading fans to suspect a new album is on the way.
There hasn’t been a new album from the Sheffield band since ‘The Car’ dropped at the end of 2022 and was given a glowing five-star review by NME, which described it as “a swashbuckling, strings-fuelled epic”.
After its release, Alex Turner and co. locked in a headline slot at Glastonbury 2023 and headed out on a huge world tour – which they ended by bringing out James Ford and Miles Kane as special guests.
Since then, there have been very few updates from the band. However, some eagle-eyed fans have now noticed that the band have updated their website homepage, and launched a new recording company.
The first was brought to light by a fan page on Instagram with the handle @ArcticMonkeysMania, which shared two back-to-back images of the site. The first was taken a few weeks back, and showed the cover artwork for ‘The Car’, and the current design has removed that for a simple green backdrop. They also highlighted that items in the music store no longer appear on the homepage.
A page on X/Twitter called @hasitleaked then ran with the post, speculating that the band have “studio sessions booked for November” and a “full summer tour” planned for 2026.
Nothing has been reported to suggest any of those claims are true, although the person behind the page was adamant, telling followers that they have “never been wrong on Arctic Monkeys news before.”
As well as changing their website, Arctic Monkeys have also added a section titled ‘Newsletter’ to their page, suggesting that updates could be on the way. They also have legally launched a recording company called Bang Bang Recordings, with each of their names listed on the gov.uk website.
Me guessing and hoping – Full summer tour 2026.

Fans have been quick to speculate that all of this could equate to a new album being announced soon, and taken to Reddit to share their hopes.
“WE ARE GETTING A NEW ALBUM IN 2026!!!!” one wrote, while another added: “I’m gonna throw up”.
“It’s no longer a drill folks… we might be back,” a third chimed in, while another mentioned the Bang Bang Recordings update, saying: “This is legit but they’ve been sitting on this company for a long time, any legal updates may not necessarily mean we are back. But I hope I’m wrong…”
NME has reached out to a spokesperson for the band for comment.
Little has been seen of the band since they wrapped up their headline tour dates, and the frontman has only been seen posing with a fan, and then again at the Music Week Awards in May.
This year, it appeared that drummer Matt Helders has been turning his sights to a solo project – dropping brief clips of himself in the studio, working on some ambient, electronic material.
Few details have been shared about that release, and rumours of a solo album from him have been around since 2018, when he said in an interview that he was underway with work for a new LP and determined to make “a lot” of material to justify a full album.
