Before 'Superman,' James Gunn Directed Cult Horror Favorite 'Slither'
As James Gunn prepares to finally unleash his version of Superman to the masses this weekend, it's safe to say that he's come a long way from his days working for Lloyd Kaufman and Troma Entertainment. However, long before he ever got into bed with The Man of Steel, and after he learned the ropes penning the script for Tromeo and Juliet, Gunn sat in the director's chair for the first time to helm what is undoubtedly one of the best horror comedies ever made. Sadly, despite all its critical acclaim, the film was a box office disaster, but that doesn't mean it's not worth your time.
