‘Call Of Duty’ fans hate new ‘Black Ops 6’ season: “The game has become less enjoyable with every update”

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6’s season 4 went live over the weekend but the new update has apparently ruined the game for many players.

Black Ops 6 originally launched in October 2024 and was celebrated as being a fun, return to form for the long-running franchise. Developers have released regular updates for the game that include new maps, game modes and outfits. Some of these have been well-received by players, while others have complained about unrealistic skins that ruin the ‘90s vibe of the game.

Last week, Black Ops 6’s season four update went live.  “An unlikely alliance forms as Adler and Stitch join forces to expose the Pantheon moles. Reignite rivalries across a revamped Downtown in Verdansk and deploy to Iceland, setting the stage for Stitch’s jailbreak and several new Multiplayer maps. Give opposing players Grief in the competitive Zombies mode, a new Battle Pass delivers 100+ new pieces of content, and much more,” read an announcement from Activision.

Since the update, many players have complained that the new season has accidentally introduced game-breaking bugs to Black Ops 6.

“Wow, thanks for ruining the game further Activision,” reads one post on Reddit. “Why can’t they play test their own fucking game. This is inexcusable and terrible to see. I might very well be quitting Call Of Duty because of this,” the user continued.

“Game keeps crashing for me when I change my load out mid match. It’s pretty annoying,” said one fan. “Just played a round of hardcore and my teammates had no blue above their heads. I must’ve died a dozen times from friendly fire,” wrote another. “The whole game is bugged,” added a third. 

“I  just love seeing my performance tank with each update. I love it even more to see glitches that STILL haven’t been fixed,” replied another disgruntled fan. ”I am a prestige master brother and the game has became less enjoyable with each update. We’re celebrating mediocrity at this point,” said another. 

Other players have been complaining about new, intrusive ads for paid items in Black Ops 6’s loadout menu. Activision has not yet addressed any of the complaints. 

In other news, the developers of Elden Ring: Nightreign are releasing a new update to make things easier for solo players after numerous complaints.
