'Daniela Forever' Review: A Moving Sci-fi Dreamscape from Genre Master Nacho Vigalondo
From the minute Nacho Vigalondo’s Daniela Forever begins, there’s nothing behind the eyes of his protagonist Nicolas. This is not because of star Henry Golding’s performance — a perpetual state of nothingness is appropriate, as Nicolas is simply going through the motions of existing after the death of his girlfriend. It's because the character lacks any drive to grow as a person.
