'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' Sci-Fi Comedy Movie Streaming on Hulu This July

A divisive adaptation of one of the greatest sci-fi novels ever written will soon travel to a new streaming home. Hollywood has always been obsessed with classic sci-fi novels. Denis Villeneuve's Dune is the prime example of a great adaptation, while Will Smith has starred in two controversial adaptations: 2007's I Am Legend and 2004's I, Robot. Even Apple TV+ has gotten in on the action with Foundation, based on the immensely dense and complex trilogy by Isaac Asimov. But the movie in question was adapted from a different branch of classic sci-fi; that of the sci-fi comedy. There are arguably few better sci-fi comedy writers than Douglas Adams. It's unfortunate, then, that the 2005 adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was far from what viewers were hoping for. Haven't read the book, or haven't seen the movie? It's now streaming on a brand-new platform, so why not check it out yourself?
