'Jurassic World Rebirth' Writer Explains Recapturing 'Jurassic Park's Tone and Reveals the Scene That He Pushed to Include in the Film
Jurassic World Rebirth, the latest installment of the adventure franchise created by Steven Spielberg in the early '90s, is set to arrive in theaters today. The film aims to capture the audience's attention after the last entries received mixed-to-negative reviews and Universal Pictures decided to freshen up the franchise. A new director and a new cast were essential when reviving the Jurassic universe, but it wasn't enough. Franchise supervisor Steven Spielberg decided to also bring back David Koepp, a Jurassic veteran, for screenwriting duties. Naturally, Koepp felt that the return was challenging, but at the same time, he understood what he had to do: he just had to "recapture" the tone of Spielberg's 1993 classic.
