'MobLand' Isn’t Nearly as Bonkers as Tom Hardy's Other Gangster Show, 'The Take'
MobLand is a bloody, entertaining show, though it’s quite unfair that Guy Ritchie is getting all the credit for the awesomeness, yet he only directed the first two episodes. Ronan Bennett — the person behind The Day of the Jack and Top Boy — is the series writer and creator. The show stars Pierce Brosnan as the London crime boss, Conrad Harrigan, and Helen Mirren as the family’s matriarch, Maeve Harrigan. Tom Hardy stars as Harry, a fixer for the Harrigans who does his best to prevent a mob war from escalating further.
