Rotten Tomatoes Users Hail 'The Toxic Avenger' As "Incredibly Goofy and Violent"
Today sees the long-awaited release of the remake of The Toxic Avenger, and while many critics have lauded it as the "best superhero movie of the year," it's really what the audience thinks that matters. Starring Peter Dinklage as the titular hero, the film made its premiere at Fantastic Fest back in 2023, and lingered in obscurity for a while thanks to its violent content that scared away distributors. Thankfully, Cineverse and Iconic Events Releasing came along earlier this year to snatch it up and finally make it available to the public.
