Taylor Swift has no plans to hold a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere

Taylor Swift has ruled out plans to hold a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere.
Last week, Swift announced her highly anticipated 12th studio album, ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’, confirming the album’s release date, as well as sharing its tracklist and producers.
According to a recent report in the US Sun, the singer-songwriter was potentially looking at performing at the Sphere.
The futuristic state-of-the-art venue opened in 2023 and has since hosted residencies from the likes of U2, Phish, The Eagles and the Backstreet Boys. It was also recently confirmed that a new Sphere venue will be constructed in Abu Dhabi and Metallica are reportedly in talks for a residency.
Now, it has been confirmed that Swift will not be playing at the Sphere according to Puck News’ Matt Beloni, who quoted a spokesperson at the venue on X saying: “While we love and respect Taylor Swift, we are not in conversations with her team about a residency at Sphere.”
Despite that, eagle-eyed fans are convinced that Swift is set to headline next year’s Super Bowl halftime show after picking up on various Easter eggs in her recent album announcement.
The album was revealed in detail on her first-ever appearance on the New Heights sports podcast, hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason, both professional football players.
For some fans, this was confirmation enough that she’ll headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show, because the choice to announce her album on there specifically seemed a puzzling, but perhaps intentional choice.
The 49ers later added fuel to fire by sharing a light-hearted TikTok of their stadium with a viral audio, in which someone asks: “What’s going on here? Why’s everyone acting weird towards me.”
As she detailed on the podcast, her upcoming record will be about her life behind the scenes of her record-breaking Eras Tour.
“What was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant. It just comes from like the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life,” she explained.
Swift has since unveiled four limited-edition deluxe variations of ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ on CD – all of which contain special artwork, booklets, photocards and more. The tracklisting remains unchanged at only 12 songs. You can check out all four variations and place your orders here.
Elsewhere, Kylie Minogue has also reacted to comparisons being made between her ‘Showgirl’ era tour, and Taylor Swift‘s upcoming album.
