9-1-1: Nashville: Cast, Teaser & Everything We Know
With so much 9-1-1 franchise news circulating around, there’s always buzz and scoop.
As many of you know, 9-1-1: Lone Star met a tragic end as it wrapped its final season up on FOX, never making it over to ABC with the flagship series.
Instead, we have a new spinoff and location with the polarizing 9-1-1: Nashville.
Here, we’ll compile all the information about this new series debuting on ABC this fall.
So, make sure you bookmark this page, and we’ll update it as new information trickles in.
As usual, we appreciate your support and readership. Feel free to give us a shout at the end.
Is 9-1-1: Nashville a Spinoff?

Yes, 9-1-1: Nashville will be the second spinoff in the 9-1-1 franchise series.
After 9-1-1 moved from FOX to ABC, due to budget reasons, the second spinoff, Lone Star, completed its run with an underwhelming final season on FOX.
To the chagrin of many fans, ABC could not salvage the series and focused its efforts on a new spinoff set in Nashville, Tennessee.
When Will 9-1-1: Nashville Premiere?

The series will make its debut on ABC in the Fall of 2025.
With ABC announcing its Fall schedule, we can expect Thursdays to be the juggernaut of the network, and 9-1-1: Nashville will get the red carpet rolled out for it with a lead-in by the mother series, 9-1-1, followed by legacy series, Grey’s Anatomy.
It’s the only new series on the Fall lineup for ABC, and the head of ABC is putting its all behind this series and championing it fiercely.
9-1-1: Nashville airs Thursdays at 9/8c.
What is 9-1-1: Nashville About?

The series will follow the high-stakes life and work of a bunch of first responders at Nashville’s business firehouse.
It’s a high-octane procedural about heroic first responders and their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities.
Music City will be prominently featured and presumably be its own character as the series follows Captain Don Sharpe, who runs a firehouse with his beloved son.
We know he’s a family man who may be a bit rough around the edges and harbor some secrets.
Thus far, we know little about the nature of the series and its crew, but it has some similarities to the late 9-1-1: Lone Star, especially factoring in the father/son angle.
Who is in 9-1-1: Nashville’s Cast?

Many fans are elated over the casting news for the new captain of the 9-1-1 franchise.
The series is leaning heavily into established and familiar names across broadcast networks and even a Country music starlet.
For one, NCIS: LA’s Chris O’Donnell will helm the series, which is a welcome choice since viewers haven’t seen him since he hung up his Henley shirts as G Callen on the NCIS series.
O’Donnell will play Captain Don Sharpe, which will place him in the leadership role we’ve come to see from the late and great Bobby Nash on the flagship series and Owen Strand on the previous spinoff.
The series also cast Grey’s Anatomy alum Jessica Capshaw as Don’s wife, which is a welcome addition for the star’s passionate fanbase. As of yet, we don’t know anything else about the role.
The series has also cast Country singer sensation LeAnn Rimes in an unknown role. They followed that with the announcement that Kimberly Williams-Paisley would also join the cast.
Will There be a 9-1-1: Nashville and 9-1-1 Crossover Event?
According to Tim Minear, who will executive produce this new project, there won’t be a crossover. It’s not in the cards, at least not for the first season, as they’d rather devote their efforts to establishing the spinoff first.
The Disney president did tease at upfronts that the spinoff will have its own special “event” not unlike other shows in the franchise.
I think that the 9-1-1 team are truly the masters of event-izing television, the way that be-nado kicked off 9-1-1 last year. They have a really special event planned for 9-1-1: Nashville, and although we haven’t discussed [crossovers], I think it’s an incredible opportunity that I’m sure at some point we’ll figure out how to capitalize on. What the 9-1-1‘s been able to do, it’s really a master class in television, which is consistently event-izing that show to keep it fresh after all these many years, my hat’s off to [showrunner] Tim {Minear] and Ryan for that.
Craig Erwic, Disney Entertainment Group President
Will 9-1-1: Lone Star Characters Star in 9-1-1: Nashville?
Well, we’ve seen some of the cast for the spinoff already.
There are no current plans to have any members or characters from the Lone Star guest-starring or joining the cast of 9-1-1: Nashville.
There is also no news of any original characters from the flagship series appearing in any of the episodes from the spinoff.
Is There a Trailer for 9-1-1: Nashville?

Good news!
We have a little teaser trailer for the series for you. It only gives us a taste of what’s to come, but that’s all we really need, right?
The series is heavily leaning into its location of Music City, as they show us a guitar on fire.
We also hear a cover of “Ring of Fire” playing in the background, and it may or may not be LeAnn herself. But then, we also hear that 9-1-1 operator with a thick Southern accent responding to a call.
Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani will serve as executive producers and writers, and Chris O’Donnell, Brad Buecker, Brad Falchuk, and Angela Bassett will also serve as executive producers.
Still here? You’re our kind of people.
