Ghost have announced a collaboration with Roblox as their former frontman Frater Imperator heads to the Rushed Out minigame.

Ghost released their sixth album ‘Skeletá’ earlier this month and to celebrate, their former frontman has entered the world of Roblox. Announcing the collab on Facebook, the band wrote: “We wish to inform you that the team at the Roblox game Rushed Out!  have hired a new boss – Frater Imperator! Complete your tasks or risk being run out of the Ministry. Can you survive working for Cardi?”

Rushed Out is a horror escape game set in an office. “Just an office sim where you must pretend to work while plotting your escape… but can you escape the office before the Manager hunts you down,” reads the official description. The crossover launched yesterday (April 29) and is due to run until May 13.

It’s not been confirmed, but it seems that Ghost’s Tobias Forge voices Frater Imperator in Roblox’s Rushed Out collab.

“Not this being the thing that makes me play Roblox after managing to avoid it forever,” one fan wrote on Facebook. “Hilarious. Yet another way to get people to see who Ghost is,” replied a second. “A collaboration between Ghost and Roblox was definitely not on my 2025 bingo card,” added a third. However other fans are now asking for collabs with Fortnite and Call Of Duty.

To promote their 2023 EP ‘Phantomime’, Ghost created online escape room minigame Escape The Ministry that was hosted on their own website.

Speaking to NME recently, Forge said: “For the last decade or so, there’s been this ongoing chatter in the music business – especially in the rock business – of ‘rock is dead’ or ‘no new bands can become big’. Ghost, as well as a few others, are living proof that that is not true.

“I’m not saying that you can become a new AC/DC, but we are living proof that you still can do it,” he added. “There are more recent bands around, like Sleep Token, who are succeeding, so obviously, you can become a bigger band.”

Last year, Charli XCX collaborated with Roblox minigame Dress To Impress. However earlier this month it was revealed that the creator of the viral ‘Apple Dance’ routine was suing Roblox after the company allegedly abandoned conversations about licensing the dance before they included it without her permission.

In other news, Grand Theft Auto 6 fans think the highly-anticipated game could be released in September after Borderlands 4 was moved forward for unspecified reasons.
