"I Just Don't Care;" 'How to Train Your Dragon' Star Shuts Down Backlash Towards Their Casting
The new How to Train Your Dragon remake is yet another movie affected by bigoted backlash from some of the franchise's fan base. But, Nico Parker, the actress in the crosshairs of the controversy, has fired back with the perfect response for those who take issue with her casting. Dean DeBlois returned to helm the new remake, which releases in theaters on June 13. Mason Thames stars as Hiccup, with Nico Parker playing the role of Astrid. When Parker was first cast, some took issue that the actress didn't have the exact likeness of the animated Astrid (white complexion, blue eyes, and blonde hair), but Parker isn't paying the ridiculous backlash any mind.
