I Love A24 Movies but 'Friendship' Proves the Distributor Is Bad at Its Job

As May began, I was looking forward to watching A24's newest film, Friendship. The movie is a twisted comedy about a creepy neighbor starring Paul Rudd and Tim Robinson from Netflix's I Think You Should Leave. On May 9, the day before Friendship was supposed to release, I opened my AMC app, and like most others who wanted to watch the film, I couldn't find any showtimes. There were theaters showing the film, but they were limited to New York City and Los Angeles.
