John Carpenter's 'Eyes of Laura Mars' Is Underrated and Streaming Free
When you mention horror master John Carpenter, the first movie that comes to mind is Halloween. The seminal slasher film launched a franchise and helped define a horror subgenre that was still taking shape at the time. But contrary to what people think, Halloween was far from being Carpenter's first movie. Before that, he made Dark Star and Assault on Precinct 13, two very different genre films that displayed the director's unique vision. However, the same year he released Halloween, Carpenter was credited with another notable Hollywood project. That movie is Irvin Kershner's horror thriller Eyes of Laura Mars, and it is currently streaming for free on Tubi.
