Soulwax have shared the latest single from their upcoming album ‘All Systems Are Lying’ – listen to ‘New Earth Time’ below.

The Belgian dance-punk group, featuring brothers Stephen and David Dewaele, announced their first studio record in seven years will be released on October 17 via DEEWEE/Because Music and you can pre-order/pre-save your copy here.

They have already released the double A-side single ‘All Systems Are Lying’ and ‘Run Free’, and now they have followed those up with ‘New Earth Time’, a propulsive, twitching track built around the trademark deep Soulwax percussion sound and dancing modular synths.

Watch the track’s official visualiser here:

The Dewaele brothers (aka 2ManyDJs) have called the record, which is a follow-up to 2018’s ‘Essential’, “a rock album made without any electric guitars”, adding: “We wanted to capture the feeling of a band playing electronic instruments – live, loud and loose. This record is the result of that experiment.”

A press release states: “‘All Systems Are Lying’ was built entirely from modular synths, live drums, tape machines and processed vocals. It’s a fractured mirror held up to modern society on the brink – where truth is distorted by filters, algorithms and noise.”

The full tracklist for Soulwax’s ‘All Systems Are Lying’ is:

‘Pills And People Gone’
‘Run Free’
‘Meanwhile On The Continent’
‘New Earth Time’
‘All Systems Are Lying’
‘Gimme A Reason’
‘Dshunge’
‘Constant Happiness Machine’
‘Polaris’
‘The False Economy’
‘Idiots In Love’
‘Hot Like Sahara’
‘Engineered Fantasy’
‘Distant Symphony’

In 2024, Soulwax debuted the ‘All Systems Are Lying’ cuts ‘Hot Like Sahara’, ‘Idiots In Love’, ‘New Earth Time’ and ‘Polaris’ during their UK and European headline tour – which boasted an ambitious stage production.

In other news, 2ManyDJs have provided the soundtrack for Netflix‘s new film starring Vincent Cassel, Banger.

Back in 2022, Soulwax told NME that they were “trying different things out because we don’t want to do the same thing”. They confirmed at the time that there would “definitely maybe” be a new Soulwax album, and said they were “working on it”.
