Netflix's 'The Summer Hikaru Died': What Took Over Hikaru's Body?

Imagine this situation for a moment: you’re back in high school with your best friend and are looking to hang out with him over the weekend. Even though he oddly rejects your offer by saying he has to hike up a mountain, for whatever reason, you take it all in stride since you don’t want to invade their privacy. Those days become more terrifying than you ever imagined, as he doesn’t return when he’s supposed to and ends up missing for an entire week. Miraculously, your best friend is found alive, but something is off. He’s not acting like himself. Not only does he seem to be excited about every little thing, but there’s also something very different in his eyes. You finally muster up the courage to confront him. Your suspicions were correct.
