Oasis Live ’25: Liam and Noel Gallagher launch new Adidas SPZL trainers

Liam and Noel Gallagher have launched a new range of Adidas trainers as Oasis‘ UK tour continues.

The duo will release their own personalised SPZL trainers to coincide with their forthcoming shows at Croke Park in Ireland on August 16-17.

They will be available from Adidas’ Carnaby Street store in London and in retail stores in Manchester. You can sign up to get your hands on a pair on the Adidas Confirmed app here from August 13.

Having previously launched the LG SPZL and two colourways of the LGII SPZL, for this new shoe Liam Gallagher requested to work on bringing back a revised version of one of the brand’s archival runners – the Adidas Achille.

Made up in a tonal colourway with some tweaks to the upper pattern the Adidas LG Achille SPZL features a “khaki mesh base, with chocolate brown stripes, a beige suede T-toe overlay and a sand outsole” according to press release.

Noel first worked with Adidas on the NG72 trainers back in 2011 and his last official collaboration with Adidas SPZL was the NG Garwen SPZL in 2017.

Now, a new hybrid inspired by the Adidas Marathon 85 silhouette is being launched.

Keeping the suede upper and rubber outsole of the Marathon 85 this new version “comes in a deep navy/sky blue palette with a reworked toe box (that adds a ‘T’ toe overlay) and midsole as well as details like the Eco-Tex tongue and tonal eyelets”.

Both shoes are completed with Liam and Noel’s portraits on the tongues, as well as spare laces, co-branded sock liners, and commemorative packaging.

The latest release comes after they appeared in a new ad for Adidas Originals earlier this summer, which resulted in a whole range of clothing in collaboration with the band being released.

While some fans hailed the merchandise, others were critical which led to Liam hitting back on X, saying that Oasis “don’t discriminate” against anyone.

“I’m hearing loads of chat about who this Adidas / Oasis collaboration is for,” he said at the time. “It’s for everyone now get involved and stop crying your heart out LG X.”

He continued: “And if it’s not your cup of tea, DON’T buy it. But don’t MOAN about it as well you soft c***s.”

Elsewhere, Wembley Stadium is investigating claims that up to 200 people snuck in to see Oasis without tickets using a security scam.

The band kicked off their long-awaited ‘Live ‘25’ tour dates with two nights at Principality Stadium in Cardiff last month, and then headed over to their hometown of Manchester for five shows at Heaton Park before playing five of their seven sold-out stops at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Over the weekend they played two nights at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, which saw Liam brand the City of Edinburgh council “a bunch of snakes”. He said the band were “still waiting for our apology” from the local authority over a report which suggested the band’s fans would be “rowdy” and “intoxicated”.

They will play a final night at the stadium tomorrow (August 12) before they head to Croke Park this weekend. They will then cross Atlantic for their North American tour. Dates in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Pasadena and Mexico City will take them to the middle of September, when they head back for two final nights at Wembley.

Later in the year, they play in South Korea, JapanAustralia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
