In paid partnership with Priority from O2
Loyle Carner has announced details of a huge UK headline tour to round out the year – and if you’re an O2 or Virgin Media customer, you can get Priority Tickets right now ahead of general release.
Carner is set to make his live return this summer by headlining Glastonbury’s Other Stage on Friday, June 27. It’s now been confirmed that, later this year, he’ll head out on a headline tour of his own.
The run of shows will kick off in November with four nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. From there, Carner will perform in Glasgow, Cardiff, Birmingham and Newcastle before finishing the tour with a trio of gigs at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse.
Loyle Carner will play:
NOVEMBER
2, 3, 4, 5 – O2 Academy Brixton, London
7 – Utilita Arena, Cardiff
12, 13, 14 – O2 Academy, Glasgow
18, 19 – O2 City Hall, Newcastle
20, 21 – O2 Academy, Birmingham
23, 24, 25 – O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
Tickets for Loyle Carner’s headline tour gigs go on sale Friday, May 2 at 9am BST but Priority Tickets are available now here.
The tour is in support of Loyle Carner’s upcoming fourth album ‘Hopefully !’, which was announced last week. The follow-up to 2022’s ‘Hugo’ was teased with a pair of singles (‘All I Need’ and ‘In My Mind’) which saw the rapper take inspiration from alternative rock artists such as Big Thief, Idles and Fontaines D.C.
According to a press release, Carner has spent his entire career trying to “find the confidence” to explore genres outside of hip-hop and was inspired by the live band that he assembled to tour ‘Hugo’. That run of shows ended with a massive headline gig at London’s Victoria Park as part of the All Points East Festival.
‘Hopefully !’ is described as “a life-affirming exploration of fatherhood, childhood and alternative music” and is driven by a “positivity and lightness of touch achieved, in large [part], by stepping out of your comfort zone”.
