'Sneaks' Review: Wacky CGI Shoe Adventure Has Good Intentions
Anthony Mackie leads an all-star voice cast in a wacky CGI shoe adventure that has good intentions but suffers from a woeful script which struggles to string together a coherent narrative. Sneaks traverses its vibrant New York City setting to blazing hip-hop beats and diverse ethnic representations. Sneaker culture dominates this environment and having cool "kicks" gets you noticed. Urban children will see themselves, their neighborhoods, and lifestyles in a positive way. Sneaks unfortunately goes south by jamming too many characters into a strained plot with a bizarre villain who doesn't make a lick of sense.
