'The Last of Us' Showrunner Defends Season 2's Most Ridiculed Line
The Last of Us Season 2 just recently finished its seven-episode run last month in May, and proved to be a divisive season overall for viewers. Much of the discussion and controversy surrounding the series revolves around the change in characterization of some of the series' most beloved characters, particularly Bella Ramsey's Ellie. The character's journey to Seattle to seek vengeance for the death of Joel (Pedro Pascal) at the hands of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) would take on a much less nihilistic and intense tone when compared to the video game. Specifically, it's Ellie's interactions with Dina (Isabela Merced) that have drawn the ire of some fans.
