'The Simpsons' Creator Explains Why the Sequel Never Happened
Fans of The Simpsons, and more specifically, of 2007's The Simpsons Movie, there's some bad news for you. Despite the first movie being critically acclaimed and becoming one of the highest-grossing films of that year, there are still no plans to make a sequel to The Simpsons Movie. "The first movie killed us," TheSimpsons creator Matt Groening says when addressing the possibility of repeating the feat that took the beloved Springfield family to the big screen.
