Battlefield 6 beta dates, how to get access, more

Battlefield 6 has finally been revealed, and we have now seen both the campaign and multiplayer. It looks like the series is heading back to the Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 era of games that led to a lot of success a decade or so ago. But, before launch, you will be able to go hands-on thanks to some Battlefield 6 beta dates in August.

Here is a full breakdown of what you can expect from the Battlefield 6 beta and how you can gain access during one of the hands-on weekends in August.

‘Battlefield 6’ beta dates

The Battlefield 6 beta will take place on:

• August 7, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (Closed Beta)
• August 9, 2025 – August 10, 2025 (Open Beta)
• August 14, 2025 – August 17, 2025 (Open Beta)

This is a really early beta for the game, which suggests that EA is using this to gauge public opinion on the game’s various mechanics, systems, and maps. It doesn’t appear to be a “marketing beta” which some games use to drum up hype right before launch. Although we would expect another hands-on session before the game launches in September or October.

How to get access to the Battlefield 6 beta

You can get access to the Battlefield 6 closed beta by obtaining Twitch Drops from one of hundreds of creators that will be streaming the game during the closed period. The open beta will then allow everyone to jump in.

The beta will seemingly only have access to the regular multiplayer mode and not the battle royale mode, which is rumoured to be a part of the full release too. We may get to go hands-on with that mode closer to launch or after launch if it releases a few weeks after the initial game.

Battlefield 6 releases later this year for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
