'Book of Boba Fett's Ming-Na Wen Addresses Fennec Shand's 'Star Wars' Future
Even though The Mandalorian is making the jump to the big screen with The Mandalorian & Grogu, it sounds like one of the series' original characters definitely won't be part of the film. Ming-Na Wen, a Disney legend who voiced Mulan in the 1998 animated film and played Melinda May in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., joined the Star Wars franchise in 2019 as Fennec Shand. Shand is a bounty hunter who has been operating since the beginning of the Empire and was operating during the Era of the New Republic. Thanks to Wen's performance, Shand has become a fan-favorite Star Wars character in just six years, and fans have been waiting to see her return.
