Calvin Harris shares photos of wife Vick Hope’s placenta to announce birth of son

Calvin Harris has shared photos of his wife Vick Hope’s placenta to announce the birth of his baby son.
The superstar DJ/producer praised his “superhero” wife on Instagram in a series of photos, taken in Ibiza, showing the moments after his son Micah’s home birth.
He also uploaded a shot of his wife’s placenta, alongside images appearing to show the organ being de-hydrated and turned into pills.
Harris wrote: “20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah.”

Example, Liverpool footballer Andy Robertson were among those who congratulated Harris in the comments section while Becky Hill hailed his decision to share pictures of the placenta.
“Amazing we grow a whole new organ to provide life!” she wrote. “Good job not wasting it either, that’s some goddess magic right there!”
The placenta is an organ made in the womb during pregnancy that gives oxygen and nutrients to a foetus. It also acts as a filter to protect it from toxins and pollutants.
Harris and Hope previously revealed they were expecting their first child together back in May.
At the time, Hope spoke live on BBC Radio 1 to tell listeners that she would be going on maternity leave from presenting Countryfile and co-hosting Radio 1’s drivetime show with Katie Thistleton and former Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing.
Elsewhere, Harris previously shared his recent single ‘Blessings’, which saw him get into a public spat with trance producer Chicane.
He also recently shared his previous country single ‘Smoke The Pain Away‘, the first song that he’s contributed vocals to in several years.
Harris is currently performing a residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza with his next show scheduled tonight (August 5).
