Charli XCX has teamed up with Converse for some ‘Party Girl’ shoes – and they come with a little key.

Last Saturday (June 14), Charli took over Victoria Park to curate a day at LIDO festival with a line-up featuring Bladee, The Japanese HouseThe Dare070 ShakeKelly Lee OwensA. G. Cook and more.

During the day event – coined ‘Party Girl’ – Charli appeared at the Converse pop-up to unveil her collaboration with the brand and give away free pairs to fans. Since then, a pair of the currently-unreleased trainers have been listed for sale online, allowing fans to get a closer look.

The images detail that the shoes are distressed on the sides. A patch on one side references the ‘Brat’ closing track ‘365’ and the bottoms read “PARTY” on the right foot and “GIRL” on the left.

Included on the shoes are a lock and key – perhaps a reference to the ‘365’ lyric “Should we do a little key? Should we have a little line?” as well as her 2017 track ‘Unlock it’.

Elsewhere at LIDO festival, Charli enlisted Chicken Shop Date‘s Amelia Dimoldenberg to do the viral ‘Apple’ choreography during her headline set.

NME gave Charli’s LIDO set four stars, in a review that read: “As much as today is a celebration of a whole corner of music, though, it’s also a victory lap for Charli and the runaway success of ‘Brat’.

“As she comes on stage under a barrage of green lights and the unfurling of the ‘Brat’ banner – now tattered and half-shredded – the album’s impact is evident in the excited screams that ring across Victoria Park. ‘365 (remix)’, ‘360’ and ‘Von Dutch’ provide the perfect triple threat to open the set, every word to all yelled back at the star by the sold-out crowd.”

Later this month, Charli is set to play Glastonbury, where she’ll headline The Other Stage. In anticipation of the huge number of people who will be wanting to see her perform, organiser Emily Eavis said more space has been introduced around the stage.

“The Other Stage has quite a lot more space now for the audience. Obviously there is a lot of talk about Saturday night… [so] we’ve been managing that,” Eavis said in a recent interview. “We’re trying to make as much space as possible, but the thing I always want to say to people is that you can go elsewhere. There are so many things happening at any moment.”

Elsewhere, she recently poked fun at herself while accepting her Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter Of The Year, saying: “I am hardly Bob Dylan, but I commit to the bit”, and made a surprise appearance during Air‘s set at We Love Green festival in Paris to perform ‘Cherry Blossom Girl’.
