'G20': Prime Video Movie Feels Like a '30 Rock' Joke
Picture it: A typical episode of NBC's 30 Rock. Jenna Maroney sits in her dressing room. Liz Lemon approaches her about an upcoming sketch, and Jenna says, "I can't talk right now. I'm preparing for this big movie audition. It's about the first female president who also happens to be an ex-military officer, and she uses her gun-totting badass expertise to take down a bunch of terrorists who are trying to get crypto-rich at the G20 summit." It would then cut away to the truly hilarious but real scenes that make up the current #1 movie on Prime Video, G20. In reality, the action-thriller stars Academy Award-winner Viola Davis (sorry, Jenna Maroney) as the president, and it is unintentionally one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.
