Earlier this year, the singer spoke about the time he broke his neck, saying the injury had him fearing for his life. He obtained the neck injury back in 2013 while practising his dance more for his Future History World Tour which ended up being cancelled. Derulo ended up falling on his head and broke a vertebra.
Derulo went on to describe the sensation he felt after falling and said: “I felt a huge heat in my neck and I was just thinking in my head like, ‘Damn, what just happened? Did my life just end?’”
