Jessica Biel Recounts Weird 'The Notebook' Audition With Ryan Gosling
Jessica Biel — a performer in films like The Illusionist and Blade: Trinity, and the TV series The Sinner and Candy — had yet to land her breakout role until she starred in the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Back then, Biel was still convinced she hadn't found the role that would change her life. However, during the production of the horror film, she had the opportunity to audition for a film that she was sure would launch her into stardom. The problem is that her audition for the lead role in The Notebook didn't go well. The 7th Heaven actor is sure that it was because of the heavy effects makeup she could not remove before auditioning opposite Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling.
