Kevin Hart and Will Smith's 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' Remake Stalls
When Hollywood's original ideas fall flat, sometimes it's time to reignite the classics that worked. Take the critically acclaimed French film The Intouchables (2011), which was ultimately remade for America with The Upside (2017), which became a commercial success worldwide. The U.S. version starred Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart, the latter of whom was also once part of another exciting remake opportunity. Who can forget John Hughes' timeless holiday comedy, Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987), starring Steve Martin and John Candy? And what if the pair were replaced by Will Smith and Kevin Hart for a modern-day reimagining?
