Long-Awaited Action-Heavy Netflix Video Game Movie Gets Its Gears Moving
David Leitch's Gears of War movie has finally had a new update that will certainly excite fans. In May 2025, it was announced that Fall Guy and Deadpool 2 director David Leitch had signed on to direct and co-produce the film adaptation of the popular video game with a screenplay by Dune's Jon Spaihts. Netflix has been in development on the film since 2022, working with Gears of War's current developer, The Coalition.
