Mel Gibson on Why It Took Him So Long to Make 'The Resurrection of the Christ'

The Passion of the Christ, Mel Gibson's epic (and deeply controversial) adaptation of the Biblical chapter in which Jesus is crucified, is finally set to receive its long-awaited sequel. Although details remain under wraps, we know now that the project is officially now titled The Resurrection of the Christ and that it is currently in pre-production. Gibson has explained the long delay in writing the sequel, saying that the subject is "almost impossible to understand."
