Netflix Thriller Series 'Bet' Finds Quick Success on Streaming
Netflix has a new thriller hit on its hands: Bet, an adaptation of a popular manga, has now entered the streamer's top ten. Loosely based on Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's manga "Kakegurui," which translates to "Compulsive Gambler," Bet follows Yumeko Kawamoto (Miku Martineau) as she attends St. Dominic's private school and begins to dominate the school's underground gambling ring. The series debuted on Netflix on May 15, 2025, and has found a massive audience in just one week.
