Now We Know Why 'Saw XI' Was Canceled
Just a few months ago, fans of the widely popular horror franchise Saw were treated to the worst news possible. According to an insider, the next installment in the franchise, Saw XI, was in danger of being canceled. Not only that, but months later, it was reported that Saw, the IP, was being sold. The sequel officially hit a halt, and the entire franchise was set to go through a creative overhaul. All this happened while fans were left wondering what went wrong — until today, that is, when one of the former owners and producers finally broke their silence to explain what happened with Saw XI, and what's likely to happen now that the Saw universe lies in the hands of horror mogul Jason Blum and Lionsgate.
