'Outlander' Season 8 Has the Same Issue as 'Game of Thrones'
After nearly 12 years, the STARZ period drama Outlanderis coming to an end. The series, which first premiered in 2014, is set to conclude with its eighth and final season in early 2026. However, there's one significant piece of information that has long-time fans skeptical about how the series will conclude. As many know by now, the television series is an adaptation of the historical fiction novels written by Diana Gabaldon, and thus far, the series has been mostly faithful to the novels. With this final season, however, the TV show has outpaced the novels, and any storylines moving forward will most likely be original material, which is a terrifying and traumatizing reality for fans of the series who've been burned by another critically acclaimed project, Game of Thrones.
