Providence Falls: Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby, and Evan Roderick Take Us Inside This Unusual Love Triangle

The Hallmark Channel specializes in romance and mystery, and Providence Falls, a three-part film trilogy adapted from Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets, takes it to the next level.

Set against the backdrop of majestic Ireland in 1844 and present-day Providence Falls, the eternal battle between love and fate is tested when Liam gets another chance to right a wrong, but he has to get Cora to fall in love with Finn.

In exclusive interviews, we spoke with the talented trio who won our hearts: Katie Stevens and Lachlan Quarmby, who play Cora and Liam, and Evan Roderick, who portrays Finn.

Their insights revealed the layered emotion, the humorous scenes, and the off-screen friendships that made Providence Falls a winning adaptation. It’s a character-driven story of love, redemption, and staying true to yourself.

Katie Stevens & Lachlan Quarmby: Playing Love Across Different Centuries

As Cora and Liam, Katie and Lachlan made their love story believable across two different centuries.

Amidst the gorgeous Irish backdrop, the fair Cora fell in love with Liam, who was a thief, and the worst thing he stole was her heart. They became pros at pretending no one else mattered but them, until a tragedy happened.

Trouble strikes when Liam is given a second chance, but must get Cora to fall in love with Finn Walsh in the present.

In our interview, Katie shares how Cora has always wanted to carve her own path, and how Liam represents feeling free and adventures. It’s the age-old question of whether you listen to fate regarding love.

Lachlan shared how difficult Liam’s dilemma was and funny stories of dealing with the meddling angels.

The two actors, who come from different acting backgrounds, were in a film together for the first time. This was the first time Lachlan led a film. However, they had formed an instant connection, which carried off-screen.

Evan Roderick: Portraying Two Different Sides of Finn

Evan Roderick plays Finn, the man whom Cora is fated to marry.

Just like Cora and Liam, he appears in both 1844 and the present day, which complicates matters and presents a familiarity in his relationship with Cora.

In our conversation, Evan talked about the opportunity to play two different sides of Finn and how it was almost like playing different characters.

He enjoyed switching back and forth and learning an Irish accent.

Evan also enjoyed the easy connection with his co-workers, stating it made it easier to film the love triangle, watching their cues.

There is a fan base devoted to both Jude Devereaux and Hallmark films, and Evan thinks it will check off many boxes.
