'Sinners' Hides This Big Character Moment in Plain Sight
Ryan Coogler's latest film, Sinners, continues to defy expectations and faces a surprisingly bleak narrative from some news outlets about its financial performance. Aside from the stellar opening weekend the movie had, Sinners also had a historically low 5% dropoff in its second weekend, and continues to show impressive numbers even in its third weekend in theaters. While this could be attributed to a number of reasons, from its IMAX 70mm format run that continues to sell out or the hype surrounding an original blockbuster release, it could also be re-watches that contribute to its success, especially since there are some aspects that could be missed on the first viewing.
