This is how much the handheld Xbox ROG Ally will cost

It seems the price of the handheld Xbox ROG Ally has been revealed by Microsoft’s development partner ASUS.
Earlier this year, Microsoft confirmed it would be releasing two handheld Xbox consoles after boss Phil Spencer previously teased that the company was working on “exciting” and “different” ways to play.
Last month, they officially unveiled the two portable devices. Due to launch later this year, the ROG Xbox Ally is “the essential handheld at a great value for everyone from the casual player to the avid enthusiast” while the ROG Xbox Ally X will be “the ultimate high-performance handheld, built for the most demanding players.”
Microsoft has collaborated with Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS for the ROG Xbox Ally and the handheld includes several “new and first-of-their kind features on both devices—from an immersive Xbox full screen experience, an aggregated gaming library with access to installed games from leading PC storefronts, and more.”
However it seems that ASUS has accidentally leaked how much the new Xbox consoles will cost.
As reported by 3DJuegos, the Spanish division of ASUS revealed the price after it updated the product listings on their website. According to the listings the ROG Xbox Ally will set you back 599 euros (£520) while the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally will cost 899 euros (£780).
The leak matches up with a report from an industry insider last month, who also claimed pre-orders will go live in August. However Microsoft has yet to officially confirm the release date, price point or pre-order details for the ROG Xbox Ally but the technical specifications for the new consoles can be seen here.
It’s also likely that the console will vary in price across the world due to fluctuating exchange rates and Donald Trump’s controversial import taxes.
Earlier this year, Microsoft confirmed price hikes for its Xbox Series X/S console, first-party games and accessories. “We understand that these changes are challenging, and they were made with careful consideration given market conditions and the rising cost of development,” Microsoft explained in a statement. “Looking ahead, we continue to focus on offering more ways to play more games across any screen and ensuring value for Xbox players.”
In other news, It doesn’t look like the rumoured remake of Tony Hawk’s Underground is going ahead after the team behind Pro Skater 3+4 were reportedly laid off.
