Watch Rosé do a shot with FKA Twigs before performing ‘APT.’ at BLACKPINK’s first Wembley performance

FKA Twigs made a surprise appearance with Rosé at BLACKPINK‘s first show at Wembley Stadium.

BLACKPINK are currently on their first headline tour since their record-breaking ‘Born Pink World Tour’, which ran between 2022 and 2023. Last night (August 15), they played the first of two shows at London’s Wembley Stadium – becoming the first K-pop girl band to headline the venue.

To mark the occasion, they surprised the crowd with an appearance from FKA Twigs, who was shown onscreen taking shots with Rosé backstage.

The moment came during Rosé’s solo segment, with screens showing the pair playing the Korean game that inspired her single ‘APT.’. The two were seen taking shots and snacking while riding an underground tram for the start of Rosé’s performance of the song.

It came after the pair had shared Instagram stories of gifts that they gave each other earlier in the day, with Rosé posting a photo of a wrapped present with a hot-pink ribbon, and Twigs said “thank u” to a flower arrangement from Rosé.

Twigs became the second guest to join Rosé’s solo set for Blackpink’s shows, following Bruno Mars, who previously performed the duet with her onstage during a concert in Los Angeles.

Shortly afterwards, Mars joked that he’s nearly debt-free thanks to the track – a nod to rumours that surfaced in 2024 that he was $50million in debt with the MGM Grand due to gambling. The MGM Grand later denied these claims.

‘APT.’ was named one of NME’s best 50 songs of 2024, one of NME’s best 25 K-pop songs of the year and scored a glowing five-star review: “Truthfully, Rosé has never sounded as good as she does here,” Rhian Daly wrote.

“There’s a power and confidence in her voice that far surpasses her past performances, and the vintage pop-rock riffs and attitude – which echo with elements of Toni Basil, Blondie and Joan Jett – feel sublimely suited to her as an artist. Addictive, flirty and a whole lot of fun, ‘APT.’ is the perfect introduction to Rosé’s new chapter.”

Last month, BLACKPINK released the techno-inspired song ‘Jump’, marking their first release in three years. It was first premiered at the ‘Deadline’ concert in South Korea.

Meanwhile, recent reports from a South Korean news outlet suggest BLACKPINK are supposedly releasing a new EP later this year.

Since BLACKPINK’s last album – 2022’s ‘Born Pink’ – all four members have explored solo careers, including albums by JennieRoséLisa and Jisoo. Additionally, Lisa made her acting debut in HBO’s The White Lotus season three.

The tour resumes in Asia throughout October and December, including stops in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and Hong Kong.
