A few days ago, an announcement made waves in the horror community, particularly among Constant Readers, the literary aficionados devoted to Stephen King's books and their film and TV adaptations. As announced by Paramount Pictures, King's seminal horror book The Stand will be getting another modern adaptation. It's being developed as a feature film, with Doug Liman, the filmmaker behind The Bourne Identity and Tom Cruise's Edge of Tomorrow, set to direct.
