Why 'The Waterfront' Is Worth Watching on Netflix
Much like Ozark, Netflix’s newest top 10 crime drama, The Waterfront, centers its narrative around a prominent, albeit dysfunctional, family. A staple in their seaside town of Havenport, North Carolina, the Buckley family and their seemingly successful businesses are well known throughout the community. However, when the financials begin to fall behind, Cane (Jake Weary), the family’s adult son, turns to drug running to make up for their losses. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for the venture to turn sour, which prompts Harlan (Holt McCallany), the family’s patriarch, to step in and take over.
